# Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Meets the Leader of the Islamic Revolution

Major General Dr. Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, met with Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei, the esteemed Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

In this meeting, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei described the Supreme National Security Council and its Secretariat as the “crossroads of decision-making” for the country’s affairs, and emphasized the mutual influence of the four domains of “culture,” “politics,” “economy” and “security,” as well as the need for decisions in each domain to be accompanied by appropriate supporting assessments.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stated that drawing on a roadmap based on a complete picture of every action, from its starting point to its end point, is a prerequisite for making sound and firm decisions.

Strengthening national cohesion and unity and mutual trust between the people and officials; using the capacity of the Constitution, particularly Article 176, to assist the President and the executive bodies in facilitating and accelerating the resolution of the country’s problems; safeguarding national and regional security by exercising management over the Strait of Hormuz; and consolidating bilateral relations with neighboring countries on the basis of lasting and mutual interests were among the other topics raised in this meeting.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution regarded the enemy’s exasperation as one of the fruits of national resistance, and emphasized active and timely public information so that the people continue to stand in defense of the country and the system, as well as pursuing the rights and interests of the Iranian nation and the Resistance Front through the fulfillment of the conditions set out by the country’s officials, with the aim of ending the war and the state of “neither war nor peace.”

In this meeting, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council presented a report on the country’s situation in various domains and on the efforts under way. In his report, Dr. Mohsen Rezaei stated that pursuing the Islamic Republic’s strategic policy of “shaping the region’s endogenous arrangements and order” is among the measures currently being undertaken by the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council.
